Soaring to Excellence: Be Kind, Be safe, Be Griswold!

Music

Music

Students in the Berlin Public Schools have the opportunity to develop their potential for musical expression through performing, creating, and responding to music. The goal of the music program at Griswold School is to provide students with experiences singing, playing instruments, and composing. These experiences will give them opportunities to express themselves creatively while using the knowledge of notation and performance traditions that will then provide them with the skills to independently participate in music throughout their lives.

The Berlin Public Schools Fine Arts Department is committed to fostering a community of creative, innovative, and passionate learners who appreciate cultural diversity in a global society, through the arts. All learners will be provided with meaningful opportunities in the arts to further develop a deeper form of self-expression, empowering them to become lifelong participants, appreciators, and advocates of the fine arts.
